Candidates needed to show employment in a prioritized occupation or sector and hold a post-secondary credential from a qualifying institution in their Expression of Interest profile.

This round of 195 invitations brings the total for Labour Impact and PEI Express Entry candidates in 2026 to 1,229. Invited candidates have 30 days to submit their application to the PEI Office of Immigration. A temporary federal measure, in effect since June 9, 2026, allows base Provincial Nominee Program applicants to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit sooner.

The PEI PNP plans to conduct 12 provincial immigration draws in 2026, with one draw scheduled each month. Three selection rounds are still scheduled for the calendar year after the September 17 draw. While specific dates are provided, rounds may occur earlier, later, or in addition to those listed.

Candidates who receive a provincial nomination can apply for Canadian permanent residence. Provincial nominees may also become eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit. Labour Impact candidates in Canada and eligible may benefit from a temporary federal measure that waives the Acknowledgement of Receipt requirement for their permanent residence application, allowing them to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit months sooner.
