Specific draws during this period targeted various streams. The Alberta Opportunity Stream saw 113 invitations on September 23. The Alberta Express Entry Stream Accelerated Tech Pathway issued 100 invitations on September 22. Another 49 invitations went to the Alberta Express Entry Stream Law Enforcement Pathway on September 21. Priority sector draws included 100 invitations for Health Care on September 18, 18 for Agriculture on September 15, and 48 for Manufacturing on September 10.

Minimum scores for these draws varied by stream. The Alberta Opportunity Stream required a minimum score of 58 on September 23. The Accelerated Tech Pathway draw on September 22 had a minimum score of 59. Health Care candidates needed at least 62 on September 18, while Agriculture and Manufacturing draws on September 15 and September 10 respectively both required a minimum score of 60.

As of September 23, the AAIP has conducted 80 provincial immigration draws in 2026, resulting in 13,089 invitations. The Alberta Opportunity Stream alone has 22,315 active worker expressions of interest and has issued 8,296 invitations this year. Other streams also show significant activity: the Rural Renewal Stream has 1,736 active profiles and 1,043 invitations, the Tourism and Hospitality Stream has 3,275 active profiles and 227 invitations, and Dedicated Health Care Pathways have 1,222 active profiles and 895 invitations. The Alberta Express Entry Accelerated Tech Pathway has 1,992 active profiles and 1,466 invitations, while the Law Enforcement Pathway has 45 active profiles. Overall, Alberta Express Entry Priority sector draws and initiatives account for 5,011 active profiles and over 1,156 invitations.

Alberta outlined its 2026 immigration priorities earlier this year, focusing on sectors such as construction, aviation, rural settlement, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and agriculture. A temporary federal measure, in effect since June 9, 2026, provides a benefit to qualifying base Provincial Nominee Program applicants, allowing them to apply for a bridging open work permit months sooner.

Selected candidates can now proceed with their provincial nomination application. If approved by the province, they may then apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence. Provincial nominees also have the option to apply for a bridging open work permit after submitting their permanent residence application. Alberta Opportunity Stream nominees specifically benefit from the temporary federal measure, enabling them to apply for a bridging open work permit months earlier.
